A growing trend on the road has safety experts sounding the alarm.
"We really do want to remind folks that selfies while driving really are dangerous distracted driving behaviors" said AAA Texas' Doug Shupe.
As hard as it may be to believe it's happening--it's a growing problem Shupe told 550 KTSA News.
"Unfortunately, it's an activity that is trending" Shupe said, adding "Thousands of young drivers are sharing those photos and videos of themselves in the act of driving."
The experts said your car will travel the length of one and a half football fields over six seconds at sixty miles per hour--nearly four football fields over fifteen seconds. That's no time to take your eyes off the road.
