A home in Terrell Hills is left in ruins after an early Wednesday Morning fire.
The first call for help came in at around 5:30--fire crews arrived a short time later to find the home on Lyman--between Harry Wurzbach and Rittiman--fully engulfed.
The man and woman who lived inside of the home managed to get out--but Terrell Hills Fire Chief Billy Knupp told 550 KTSA News the woman cleary had gotten close to the flames.
"They transported her to San Antonio Military Medical Center with burns to 18% of her body--some of them moderate burns" Knupp said. Investigators quickly began working on figuring out what sparked the fire. Several people rported hearing explosions amid the flames.
"It's something related to the kitchen area" Knupp said.
