Could talk of bringing a Major League Soccer team to San Antonio mean other pro sports franchises are a possibility? While all of the talk has generated plenty of excitement, Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff said an expansion soccer franchise would require a much smaller investment than it would take to secure either a Major League Baseball or National Football League team.
"We worked hard to bring football and baseball here. They really need to get their act together between the national offices and the teams" Wolff told 550 KTSA News.
Wolff said Major League Soccer appears to be a good fit for San Antonio--but what if an MLB or NFL opportunity presented itself to the region?
"Before I ever got involved in any of that, they'd have to make darn clear it's something they really wanted. I don't see that happening with either one of those two right now" Wolff said.
