The foul odor you may have noticed hanging in the air over portions of Downtown San Antonio over the last couple of weeks will soon be a thing of the past.
Sanitary sewer maintenance work is expected to conclude over the weekend--about two weeks ahead of schedule.
"We deliberately set it up during the winter--before spring break--and definitely before Fiesta" said Anne Hayden with SAWS. She told 550 KTSA News crewws have been able to make the best use of time in order to get the work done early.
"SAWS worked with downtown staffers to insure we could do this work when there was the least amount of traffic" Hayden said, adding crews were also able to save time by using robotic cameras in their work--eliminating the need to tear up streets.
