What do the signals from Washington mean--that's what many people are asking as Israeli Prime MInister Benjamin Netanyahu continues a visit to the United States.
Among the watchers is Israel's top Diplomat in Texas-Counsul General to the Southwest Meir Shlomo--who continues to see the deal on the table to end Iran's nuclear program as unacceptable.
"There are major loopholes that will actually enable Iran to very quickly get nuclear weapons" Shlomo told 550 KTSA News. As for peace talks with the Palestinians, Shlomo said the ball is clearly in their court.
"It's mostly up to the Palestinians to rise to the occasion, and make good of this opportunity that we all have to bring peace to the Middle East" Shlomo said.
When it comes to the continuing to unfold crisis in Ukraine, Shlomo said he is confident the events there will not serve to distract the United States away from what's needed to be done in the Middle East.
"The United States is a superpower--I'm sure they can deal with more than one crisis" Shlomo said.
