Ground has been broken on a project designed to help get you moving around Northwest Loop 1604 faster.
"4.8 miles from Bandera all the way down to Culebra. Frontage roads on each side, continuous all the way through--and then access controlled two lanes in both directions" said Russell Zapalac with the Texas Department of Transportation in decribing the $82 million project.
Bexar Count Commissioner Paul Elizondo said the 26-month plan is a joint effort--involving the State, the County, and the City of San Antonio.
"Working together, we'll get these things done, and hopefully we'll make this a safer place for everybody--and more cnvenient" Elizondo said.
