Attempted Kidnapping in Alamo Heights

by Elizabeth Ruiz
Alamo Heights Police have released sketches of two suspects being sought in the attempted kidnapping of a woman.
Sgt. Tom Vitacco told 550 KTSA News  as 26-year-old woman was walking her dog around 9 pm February 5 in the 300 block of Kampmann when she noticed a dark-colored pickup.
"One of the occupants got out of the truck and grabbed her and tried to pull her into the pickup," said Vitacco.
But the woman fought back, hitting and kicking her assailant.
"She was able to break his grasp and he let her go, but not before punching her in the face," said Vitacco.
The woman grabbed her dog and ran home to call 9-1-1.
Alamo Heights Police contacted a sketch artist from Austin who drew images of the suspects based on a description provided by the woman.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP (224-7867).
