The Number Two Republican in the United States Senate puts out a call for a harder line on Russia.
"I believe that sanctions are not enough" said Texas Senator John Cornyn--urging his colleagues on Capitol Hill to move toward providing more military assistance to Ukraine, which recently saw Russian troops move in and take over the Crimean Peninsula.
"So far, only uniforms, medicine, and MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat), have been provided. They need the military assistance neccessary to defend themselves" Cornyn said, stopping short of a call for U.S. troops on the ground.
However, the Senator is again pressing his call for increased American exports of natural gas to Europe--which he said would help the countries there break their dependence on Russian energy sources.
