Wells Fargo Meeting in S.A. Draws Protest

By Bill O'Neil

Activists from around the country travel to San Antonio to make their case against Wells Fargo's mortgage policies.

The simple message--more must be done to keep financially stressed families in their homes. Among the acctivists pressing the call at the bank's shareholder meeting was Zeus Walton.

"People kept coming here--talking about how they've been treated poorly with regard to home mortgages" Walton told 550 KTSA News.

On the other side though, the bank said it does it's part through programs, mortgage modifications, and principle forgiveness. Ancel Martinez with Wells Fargo told us their customers are overwhelmingly up to date on their mortgage payments.

"Just about 7% delinquincies and foreclosures occur within Wells Fargo--as opposed to 10% of the industry average" Martinez said.
