Governor Rick Perry has weighed in on last week's controversial execution in Oklahoma.
"I don't know whether it was iinhumane or not--but it was botched" the Governor told NBC's "Meet the Press--adding though he is confident in the ability of officials in Texas to properly carry out executions.
As for that "botched" execution in Oklahoma Tuesday, the Governor said that's not reason enough to end the use of capital punishment across the baord.
"State by state, those decisions are made about how you're going to punish those who commit the most heinous crimes against your citizens" Perry said. The Governor also said he supports Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin's decision to delay further executiuons in her state until after officials take a closer look at what happened.
