Time to Prep for Severe Weather Season

By Bill O'Neil

Now is the time to get your home and family ready--the word from the experts as we roll through another severe weather season. If history is any kind of a guide, San Antonio is likely to feel it at some point in the coming weeks--that according to Allstate--which lists Bexar County among it's top 25 stormiest counties in Texas.

"Particularly the hail and the wind--we see a lot of that. We're ranked 14th in the state in terms of those types of storms" said Allstate's Robin Czarnak, who told 550 KTSA News it's time now to go through your house, and make sure everything is in order.

"First and foremost is to know what you have... and where your policies are, so when the time comes, you know who to call" Czarnak said.

In addition to having an emergency plan for your family, Czarnak said you can also take little steps--such as clearign a space in the garage for your car--should severe weather suddenly threaten your neighborhood.
