Plans for expanding a section of U.S. Highway 281 will be the focus of an open house meeting set for Thursday Evening.
"There will be approximately 20 to 30 people available to answer questions about specific locations and what the movements will look like" said Bexar County's Renee Green. She told 550 KTSA News the plan has been designed to meet the long term transportation needs of the area.
"If the federal governemtn issues a record of decision this fall on the Environmental Impact statement--which is what we're anticipating--we could begin construction in late 2015" Green said.
There is a toll component to the plan. The meeting begins at 5:30, and runs through 7 PM at the Summit Christian Center on Marshall Road.
