Computer technology giant Oracle is out with plans for a new computer operations center in the San Antonio area--which include some 200 high-paying jobs to be added over two years.
"They have staying power...an outstanding company" said the San Antonio Economic Foundation's Mario Hernandez, who told 550 KTSA News the moves are part of an effort to put San Antonio on the industry's cutting edge.
"It is growth occupations--more and more I-T related jobs are growing in this country. This happens to be financial services related for Oracle" Hernandez said.
The moves are contingent on the San Antonio City Council and Bexar County Commissioners signing off on grant money in the coming weeks.
