An ominous sign for the future? A Texas Senator is raising concern over the deal that resulted in freedom for an American soldier--five years after his capture in Afghanistan.
"U.S. policy has changed--now we make deals with terrorists" said Senator Ted Cruz. who told ABC's "This Week" he fears the agreement that freed five Taliban prisoners who were being held at Guantanamo Bay in exchange for Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl's freedom will only encourage terrorists to kidnap American troops.
The Senator also said this is just the latest Obama Administration mkove to raise eyebrows aroundthe globe.
"America is the indispensible leader--but what our allies are expressing over and over again is that our leadership is missing" Cruz said.
Meanwhile, there are reports Bergdahl will eventually reunite with his family in San Antonio--however, there is no word on specifically when that might happen.
