Add Congressman Lloyd Doggett to those with major questions over the deal to free a U.S. soldier five years after he was captured in Afghanistan.
"It is a very fine line" Congressman Doggett told 550 KTSA News when asked abotu the trade of five Taliban prisonsers who were being held at Guantanamo Bay in exchange for Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl. The Congressman said he's hoping more about the deal--which might make it better for the U.S. than it appears right now--might remain classified.
"A prisoner exchange is not unheard of. A prisoner exchange of this type raises questions about security, and I think we need more facts about it" Doggett said.
On the surface, Doggett said it doesn't appear to be the type of deal he would have made--if he were the one negotiating.
