Will they or won't they? That's the question swirling around the thousands of undocumented immigrant children being held in the United States when it comes to talk of being granted amnesty.
At least one immigrant rights activist said he thinks amnesty is very unlikely.
"I believe that he's (President Barack Obama) not going to do that. Right now, we're asking for a lot of things on immigration reform" said Jaime Martinez with LULAC.
Rice University Political Science Department Chair Mark Jones also said he doesn't see a sweeping amnesty--but he also said that doesn't mean many of the kids won't end up in the United States to stay.
"These children will be reunited with their parents, and if their parents are here legally--or at least in the future are able to obtain som e type of legal status--they will in effect obtain it with their parents" Jones told 550 KTSA News.
