Councilman Pushes E-Cig Ban

By Kurt Gilchrist

A San Antonio City Councilman wants to ban the sale of e-cigarettes and related products to minors.

They come in flavors like cotton candy and bubble gum--and there are no age restrictions when it come to buying them.

"E-cigarettes are kind of new out there--and there's no way for us to prevent the selling of liquid nicotine to minors at this point" said City Councilman Cris Medina, who is pushing for an ordinance to ban the sale of e-cigarettes and vaping products to anyone under the age of 18 in the City of San Antonio.

"I think as more parents learn about this and know about this--they will be equally concerned" Medina said.
