You can hear the frustration from state lawmakers--as the flow of undocumented children over the southern border in to Texas continues.
Among those expressing their frustration at Tuesday's House Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee meeting was Texarkana State Representative George Lavender.
"We're giving them (the undocumented children) to the Border Partrol, and they're just spreading them out across the country. They're not deporting them" Lavender said, pushing a call for the State to do what he said the federal government won't--and take control of the border.
Others pointed to the cost of the current situation.
"It's at least fair to say it's costing us tens of millions of dollars through DPS (Department of Public Safety) alone to have to deal with our border issues" said Lexington State Representaive Tim Kleinschmidt, drawing agreement from DPS Director Steven McCraw.
Committee Chairman Joe Pickett said it's time for President Barack Obama to tackle the issue of border security one on one with his Mexican counterpart.
