Add Shirley Gonzales to the list of those vying to be San Antonio's Interim Mayor.
The District Five Councilwoman told 550 KTSA News she has submitted her letter of interst--and sees a lot of work ahead to be done.
"The more immediate things we have going have to do with the colective bargaing agreement (police and fire) that we know we've got to get through. I hope to ease us through that transitional process. The other thing is to continue a lot fo the work the Mayor (Julian Casto) has pending regarding S.A. 20/20" Gonzales said.
Others vying for the post include Councilwoman Ivy Taylor, and Coouncilmen Ron Nirenberg and Ray Lopez.
Meanwhile, Councilman Mike Gallagher said he is out of the running.
"I just took over (in District Ten) at the beginning of the year, and I really do need to make sure my constituents are represented" Gallagher told 550 KTSA News.
KTSA News can also confirm Councilmen Joe Krier and Rey Saldana are out.
