A matter of when--not if--that's what one prominent local business leader sees in San Antonio's seemingly endless push to attract another major league team.
San Antonio Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Richard Perez said he sees plenty of positives in the City's renewed effort to win a Major League Soccer team.
"We're well positioned in that we have a new stadium that Gordon Hartman has designed in such a way so that you can easily build upon it and expand it" Perez said, adding the large crowds turning out for Scorpions games should also be attractive to Major League Soccer.
All in all, whether it's baseball, football, or soccer--Perez said San Antonio's attractiveness lies int he sum of it's many different parts and areas.
"I thinkt he fan base is not just San Antonio proper--it think (it's) the region the stretches out to Austin. I think it would be the same thing for an NFL team" Perez said.
