It’s amazingly ridiculous! We are one quarter through 2010, and there are still these disgusting people in the world. Today we discussed the story out of Missouri, which involves a ‘racist’ radio ad in support of Glenn Miller’s campaign for the Senate. In the ad, Miller’s hate, and white supremacist beliefs pour from his mouth like raw sewage.
The question was raised today, of whether or not these types of ads fall under the protection of the First Amendment? The Missouri station(s) are being forced to air the ad under Federal Law. A station must allow federal candidates “reasonable access” to their facilities, and it must air the messages of all legal candidates without changes. Regardless of how nonsensical their messages are.
I believe this should be the case. Although I disagree with Mr. Miller, I am also reminded of the fact that, ‘crazy’ people do not know they're crazy. It’s quite obvious that cowardly dogmatists, such as Mr. Miller, are not aware of their own derangement. I do not believe silencing this scum, and pretending it does not exist, will solve anything. These people need to be exposed for the lunatics they are. They have labeled themselves for all to see, so we need to take note. We need to address the problem in this country, and focus on fixing it. These people need to be thrust into the spotlight, so that, We The People, may know who needs to be avoided. Let them dig their own graves!
