Former Spurs Star Arrested Again
Former Spurs guard Alvin Robertson is back behind bars at the Bexar County Jail.
Robertson was out on bond after being arrested last month in connection with a sex-trafficking ring that allegedly forced a 14-year-old girl into prostitution.
Wednesday, the district attorney's office filed a motion to double Robertson's bond to $450,000 after two women complained that he was harrassing them.
Robertson's attorney, Jimmy Parks, told 550 KTSA News that no one notified him that his client's bond was being raised and that he was going to be sent back to jail.
"The first thing we're going to do is try to find out what happened with this procedure and see if there's anything we need to challenge," said Parks. "Everyone, all the powers that be, knew that I was representing Alvin, but yet I was not given notice of a hearing."
He emphasizes that no new charges have been filed against Robertson.
"Goodness gracious. How could you oppressively put him back in jail, force him into a position where you could break him financially and yet, not even charge him wtih a new offense or give him a new hearing?" asked Parks.
He doubts that Robertson will be able to post bond this time around.
"It was very expensive to post bond the first time," said Parks.
One of the women Robertson is accused of harrassing while he was out on bond is the mother of his child.
