Firefighter Shot and Wounded in Dallas

We’re learning more about a shooting that left a Dallas paramedic critically wounded, and injured a bystander.

It happened on the East side of that City Monday Morning, where paramedics were called to assist an apparently suicidal man.

In a statement, the City said the paramedic had begun treating the patient when another man approached and opened fire.

The paramedic was rushed to Baylor Hospital, where we’re told his condition has been stabilized.

The suspected shooter and another person were found dead in a nearby home late Monday Afternoon.

in a tweet, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick said “Our prayers are with the firefighter who was shot when a gunman opened fire on paramedics in Dallas.”

The Dallas Police Association earlier tweeted officers were pinned down in the area around the shooting.
