Patrick Sets Session Priorities

The man in charge of the Texas Senate has outlined his priorities for the upcoming Legislative Session.

Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick has ten priorities in all–starting with a balanced budget.

From there, Patrick said property tax reform is a must–with Texans paying the sixth highest property taxes in the country. The Lieutenant Governor is also pressing for school choice for all parents in the State, as well as an end to “sanctuary cities” in Texas.

Patrick also called Voter ID essential. He’s also pushing for a privacy act for women and girls in locker rooms and restrooms, while urging a crackdown on inappropriate teacher-student relationships.

Patrick rounds out his ten priorities with a call partial birth abortion ban, a State spending limit, and reforms for hailstorm lawsuits.
