By Pilar Arias

Funeral details for fallen firefighter Scott Deem were released Wednesday morning.

The public is invited to participate in a visitation Thursday from 6:30-9 p.m. at Porter Loring, 1101 McCullough Avenue.

At 9 a.m. Friday an apparatus procession will leave the Alamodome Lot B to Community Bible Church. A San Antonio Fire Department spokesman said agencies from across the state, as well as Louisiana and Oklahoma, have said they will be bringing fire trucks down for the procession. They will begin staging at the Alamodome Wednesday night.

The family procession will leave Porter Loring at 11 a.m. Friday. It will head down McCullough towards Alamo Street before turning on Market Street and getting on Highway 281.

Services will begin at Community Bible Church at 2477 North Loop 1604 East at 1 p.m. The public is advised to use the Gold Canyon and Sonterra entrances, but are advised that space and parking will be tight.

The family has requested that the burial after the ceremony be in private, so no details have been released about location or time.
