Police Arrest Medical Center Area Rape Suspect

Women in the Medical Center Area are breathing a sigh of relief following the arrest of a suspect in several rapes.

“We made an arrest of a serial predator, sexual predator who was working in the Medical Center area,” said San Antonio Police
Chief William McManus.

Eighteen-year-old Anton Harris is charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault, but he’s linked to several others dating back to 2015.

“We have six cases that we’ve been able to connect him with through DNA,” said McManus at a news conference Thursday night. “Actually, 5 sexual assaults and one attempt.”

Harris was arrested as he was leaving North Star Mall.

McManus says the DNA sample was taken from a beverage cup Harris threw away.
