Political Turmoil and Your Kids

How should you talk to you kids about the nation’s current political climate?

A lot of parents are struggling with that lately. Dr. Julie Strentzch says keeping younger children shielded from the hostility is the best practice and for the older kids, listen to what they have to say.

She says once your child comes home and starts talking about the things they see and hear concerning politics, make sure your response is clear and calm. She says raising your children a certain way is great but using the opportunity to teach them about tolerance is equally important.
