Pre-K for SA Backers Point to Results

City Council will take up the budget for the Pre-k for SA program this week.

Since the controversial program got started, thousands of youngsters have attending to get the skills they need for Kindergarten.

Pre-K for SA CEO Sarah Baray talked to us about the success of the program, telling us that in their short history they’ve helped about 5,000 children.

Baray says the program took a few years to get to full capacity of 2,000 students a year.

“This will be the second year in a row we’ve operated at full capacity.”

City Council members will give the budget a look then vote on the proposal Thursday afternoon.
