Pregnancy Related Deaths Climb In Texas

Pregnancy-related deaths are on the rise in Texas, at an alarming rate.

A new study in the medical journal, Obstetrics and Gynecology, says more than six-hundred Texas women died of pregnancy-related causes between 2010 and 2014, and some health officials say the state has been slow to respond.

A state task force has spent three years on the issue and made no recommendations. The panel will release its first report to lawmakers September 1st.
