Protest Set Over Controversial Textbook

The push to keep an offensive textbook out of Texas classrooms gets stronger.

Jose Medina from the Texas Freedom Network says with Donald Trump set to become President they want to get rid of the book once and for all.

Medina tells us part of Trump’s platform was to diminish Mexican Americans so it’s important the State Board of Education votes down the book this week.

We asked him if anyone affiliated with his group had heard from anyone with the Trump campaign concerning the book, he says “Not necessarily”.

Prior to the board voting on the book, a rally opposing it’s use is being held in Austin today.
