Reward Offered for Sex Offender with S.A. Ties

By Bill O’Neil

A convicted sex offender with ties to the San Antonio area is now on the State’s Ten Most Wanted Sex Offenders List.

25-year old Everett Rainey’s last known address was in Austin, but the Texas Department of Public Safety said he has ties to both San Antonio and San Marcos as well.

Rainey was convicted in 2011 of aggravated sexual assault in an attack with four other men on a 15-year old girl in Caldwell County.

He is described as a high-risk sex offender, and is wanted for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements as well as probation violation.

A $2000 reward is now being offered for information that leads to Rainey’s capture.
