Road Closures and Power Outages

We’ve got road closures because of flooding this morning and thousands of power outages following early-morning storms that rumbled across the area.

At one point, CPS Energy crews were trying to restore power to more than 10,000 customers.

A power outage brought work to a halt at Toyota Texas Manufacturing plant in the South Side.

“Day shift production has been canceled for Wednesday May 18th, 2016” said a message posted on the employee tip line. Maintenance team members, all group leaders, and office personnel should report to work as usual.

Evening and second shift workers should check the line for further instructions later Wednesday.

Some areas in the South Side got as much as 4 inches of rain.

Areas west of San Antonio, including Castroville got some hail and the city of Floresville south of us reports severe wind damage.
