S.A. Gas Prices Rolling Back

After weeks of watching the price climb up and up at gas pumps around the Alamo City–the San Antonio average price per gallon of regular unleaded appears to be falling.

That despite what is the strongest-ever demand for gasoline on record in the United States right now.

“With that, you typically see prices kind of spike and go up–but now, week over week, San Antonio prices have gone down almost a penny and a half” said Gasbuddy dot-com’s Will Speer, who told KTSA News this should be the pattern we’ll see between now and about the Fourth of July.

“We should still stay within these couple-cent (down) moves that we’re seeing right now” Speer said, adding there is room in the market for prices to decline a bit further–so long as the tropics cooperate in the near future.
