S.A. Pump Prices Continue to Fall

A slow trickle down in price continues at gas pumps around the Alamo City and across the Lone Star State.

A new report from AAA Texas puts the Statewide average price per gallon of regular unleaded at $2.09–after a two-cent drop over the last week.

Averages fell in most major metropolitan areas across the State over the last week, with the exception of Amarillo–where the average price climbed by one-cent.

Experts have said healthy supply numbers ahead of the coming change over to the more expensive “summer blend” gasoline have been putting downward pressure on pump prices over the last few weeks. Prices are expected to climb aggressively once that transition begins.

Once again, the San Antonio average is the lowest in Texas at $2.03 per gallon. The highest average pump prices can be found in El Paso at $2.18.
