The San Antonio Board of Realtors is ready for a big year.
“We are very excited about 2016,” Board President Angela Shields said. “Based on the year that we just came off of in 2015, our numbers are very strong.”
Sales were up 10% in 2015, compared to 2014 numbers.
“While we don’t have a crystal ball, we do see a lot optimism for the year to come.”
The average sale price in 2015 was up 6% over 2014 prices. It’s a sign of a stronger housing market, she said.
“It’s just showing that there’s a little more confidence in the market, that people are willing to pay a little more, there’s a little more competition for people trying to buy houses.”
