San Antonio Zoo Unveils New Lion Habitat

The new lion habitat is open at the San Antonio Zoo giving you a chance to stand nose to nose with the big cats.

The Zoo’s Alan Kardon says the 3 million dollar upgrade removed the moat, giving the lions more room to move around and providing you the chance to get up close and personal.

“Of course you do have a glass barrier between you and the lions but it’s a wonderful experience for everybody.”

Kardon says the lions seem to be enjoying their new habitat and guest are loving the chance to get closer than ever to the big cats.
