Officers will honor the 57 SAPD officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty over the years.

“We’re having our memorial out at the academy at the eternal flame,” Chief William McManus told the Trey Ware Show Thursday. “We’ll have families of the officers who have fallen and we’ll honor them and the memories of their loved ones and our officers.”

The ceremony is open to the public. It starts at 10am Friday.
