SAPD Officer Fired for Trying to Feed Feces to Homeless Man

A San Antonio Police Office has been fired amid some very disturbing accusations.

Matthew Luckhurst was accused of placing feces on a piece of bread back in early May, then placing it inside a styrofoam container next to a homeless man, who would presumably eat it.

SAPD’s Internal Affairs began investigating after being tipped off when another officer reported what happened. The Department has not been able to locate that man.

In a statement, SAPD Chief William McManus said “this was a vile and disgusting act that violates our guiding principles of treating all with integrity, compassion, fairness and respect.”

The Chief went on to say Luckhurst’s actions in now reflect on the good men and women who serve in the Department.

Luckhurst was a five-year veteran of the Department, and had been with the Downtown Bike Patrol for one year.
