SAPD Officers Hurt in Scuffle

Two San Antonio Police Officers are recovering after they were roughed up while responding to an assault complaint.

Officer Doug Green says they were trying to get control of the situation on Castle Prince when a man head butted one of the officers, breaking his nose in the process. While the other officer was trying to subdue the man, he was shoved into a wall. He hit his head and suffered a concussion.

Turns out the man they were trying to bring in already had a county warrant for assaulting a family member.

He’s facing several new charges, including resisting arrest.

The two injured officers were treated at an area hospital.
