“Many in legacy media love mass shootings. You guys love it. I’m not saying you love the tragedy. But I am saying that you love the ratings. Crying white mothers are ratings gold… And notice I said crying white mothers because there are thousands of grieving black mothers in Chicago every weekend and you don’t see town halls for them do you?”
The media, of course, are outraged and disgusted by talk host Dana Loesch’s comments at CPAC. They say she is despicable for claiming they ‘love mass shootings.’ What a heartless thing to say! There’s only one problem with their sanctimonious outrage:
She is absolutely right.
They do love mass shootings. In their arrogant, liberal group-think, every mass shooting is yet another reason for gun bans and additional infringements on our constitutional right to keep and bear arms. This is why you don’t hear much about Sutherland Springs, where countless lives were saved by one man’s courage and an AR-15, the same weapon your average Progressive moron wants to ban.
This is also why, in the reaction to Loesch’s comments, you will very rarely see the second half of the quote: “…And notice I said crying white mothers because there are thousands of grieving black mothers in Chicago every weekend and you don’t see town halls for them, do you?”
I know, because I just went through several articles and op-ed pieces wherein that section of the quote is mysteriously absent. Odd, given that her reference to grieving black mothers from Chicago is necessary to the full context of the quote.
Of course, it’s not hard to figure out why most liberal media types would be uncomfortable with Loesch’s mention of Chicago in the gun debate. It is an observable fact that gun violence in the inner cities involves people–men, women, and children–dying in record numbers almost on a monthly basis. This year, in Chicago alone, 62 people have lost their lives to gun violence, with a total count of 323 people shot. And yet, as Dana points out, there are no CNN town halls for these folks, nor is Jimmy Kimmel shedding a single tear over their deaths during one of his crappy monologues. Pathetic.
What is even more pathetic is the reason for this liberal silence: the very fact of the homicide rates in towns like Chicago and Baltimore, where local gun laws tend to be the most restrictive in the country, disproves the idea that additional laws will do anything to lower homicide rates. Moreover, the violence also tends to be within certain communities, such as the African-American community, but if you dare mention the grim realities of black-on-black crime, you will probably be called a racist by any liberal puke within spitting distance.
I dig Dana Loesch, and not just because she’s hot, and I once subbed on her show, both of which are true damn things.
I dig Dana because her’s is one of the few voices in the country that is unafraid to speak the truth, even when it brings her nothing but vicious insults and death threats from the Love-Trumps-Hate crowd, which has become little more than a rabble of soulless, manipulative assholes and profane hypocrites.
If that statement upsets you, maybe you need to take a long, hard look in the mirror.
Jesus loves you and so do I,
