Second Arrest in Garza Shooting

A second man is behind bars ina shooting that has left so many shocked and disgusted across the Alamo City.

“Thsi is all in connection with the death of that girl who was doing nothing but sleeping in her house when she was shot” SAPD Sergeant Jesse Salame told KTSA News, referring to the altercation on Pecan Valley Drive last week that ended in gunfire.

Five-year old Ana Garza spent several days on life support before her injuries finally took her life.

18-year old Abdi Abdi now faces a capital murder charge. 19-year old Murjan Abdi was arrested within hours of the shooting.

“They lured Ana’s stepfather outside by claiming they accidentally hit his vehicle” Salame said, adding “When he went outside, all four (attackers) produced weapons. He went back inside to protect his family. He was shot multiple times.”

Police continue to search for two men who are also believed to have been involved in the shooting. Anyone with any information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP.
