Senator Pitching “Virtual Schools”

Senator Don Huffines makes his pitch for K-through-2nd Grade virtual schools.

He’s filed a bill allowing just that.

“Our goal in the State of Texas and my goal is to improve public education, at the same time, we get school choice,” he said.

He said choice improves public education.

“I firmly believe that every student should have the opportunity to access any kind of education that best meets their needs,” Huffines said. “Texas children deserve the best education opportunities we can provide them, whether that happens in a brick and mortar, public or private school, behind a desk at home, or a virtual school student, I’m going to fight for them to have that choice.”
