Service Members Transition Summit at Ft. Sam Houston

By Pilar Arias

A free two-day service members’ transition summit and career fair kicks off Wednesday at the Fort Sam Houston Community Center, 1395 Chaffee Road.

The event is being hosted by Joint Base San Antonio to assist service members, veterans and military spouses.

Serafina De Los Santos is one of the organizers with the 502nd Force Support Group.

“What we’re trying to do is get them to prepare for life after the military through workshops, by talking how to sell themselves, learn about the job market,” De Los Santos said.

General sessions, workshops and discussions will be open for job seekers. The event is open to all valid DOD cardholders with access to the installation.
