Shoving Match, Threats Erupt on Texas House Floor

Tempers flared on the House floor of the Texas Legislature with one lawmaker allegedly threatening to put a bullet in the head of another representative.

A shoving match started after Representative Matt Rinaldi of Irving told a couple of Hispanic lawmakers he had called ICE on demonstrators at the State Capitol who were protesting the anti-sanctuary cities law.

State Representative Justin Rodriguez of San Antonio claims he heard “Rinaldi threaten to put a bullet into the head of Democratic Representative Poncho Nevarez.

Rinaldi later posted on “Facebook that Nevarez ┬áthreatened to get him and that he would shoot him in self defense.
