Spurs on the Brink

One game away from elimination, it might be time to panic, Spurs fans.

“Time to panic? Yeah, now you panic,” ESPN San Antonio’s Jason Minnix said, following the Spurs’ game five loss.

It’s a different tune from when he told KTSA this, before game five: “Time to panic? No.”

He said there’s good reason to be worried.

“It is an elimination game Thursday night, in Oklahoma City, a place the Spurs haven’t won a lot,” Minnix said. “And quite frankly, what you’ve seen from the Spurs the last couple nights, Oklahoma City right now is the better basketball team.”

Spurs are down 3-2 in the series, but “it ain’t over yet,” he said.

“What we all have learned from the Spurs over the years: don’t count them out just yet,” Minnix said.

Game six is Thursday night in OKC.
