Storm Debris Piling Up

Some folks in Council District 9 are having leaf and debris issues, after recent storms, including that big hailstorm.

“Well we’ve been getting a lot of calls from constituents because these storms, especially the hailstorm, have knocked down an enormous amount of leaves, and branches, and all kinds of things,” Councilman Joe Krier told KTSA News.

They need to be picked up. So what do you do? Start by calling the city’s 3-1-1 number.

“City will pick up up to 50 bags of stuff in one trip,” Krier said. “You can get a trailer from the city to come by and pick it up if it’s really, really substantial.”

“So, citizens have three or four choices, almost all of them are for free,” he said. “And 3-1-1 is the best way to find out about them.”
