Street Car Critic to Launch City Council Campaign

Greg Brockhouse readies for another run at the District 6 San Antonio City Council seat.

His official campaign kick off is this weekend.

“I’m a back to basics kind of guy, so I’m going to focus on public safety first,” he told KTSA News Monday. “I think we have a crime issue across our community and we need to get it under control.”

He’s also focused on improving streets and sidewalks.

“And then I’m really just bent on identifying in every neighborhood, there’s 40-plus neighborhood associations in district 6, and I want to work with these communities to drive plans that make sense for what they want,” he said. “I think that’s what’s missing at City Hall.”

District 6 Councilman Ray Lopez is termed out. Brockhouse ran against Lopez in 2013, but lost. He said that run set him up for this one.

His kick off lunch is this Saturday at Acadiana Cafe.
