Students sought for Don’t mess with Texas scholarship contest

Texas Department of Transportation

The Texas Department of Transportation is accepting applications for the 2018 Don’t mess with Texas Scholarship contest.

In partnership with Keep Texas Beautiful, the contest will award one Texas high school student who is planning to attend a Texas college with a $6,000 prize.  Two students will be rewarded $2,000 prizes.

The scholarships recognize high school seniors who have taken a leadership role in preventing litter at their schools and communities.

“We’re proud to offer the Don’t mess with Texas Scholarship to support higher education in Texas and recognize outstanding students who are using their creativity to beautify their communities,” said Becky Ozuna, program administrator for TxDOT’s Don’t mess with Texas campaign.

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. CST on April 20, 2018.  You can apply on the Don’t mess with Texas website.
