Study: Texas Remains Low on Political Involvement

A new survey finds Texas, in spite of the many big players in politics that have lived here, ranks pretty low when it comes to political engagement.

Jill Gonzalez at Wallethub says a big problem is the low number of registered voters in the Lone Star State.

Not many Texans are headed to the polls either. She says Texas ranked 48th when it came to the number of people who voted in the last Presidential election.

When it comes to the most politically engaged state, no surprise that it’s Washington DC. The least politically engaged is Oklahoma. You can see the results of the survey at Wallethub dot com.
