Survey: Seniors Struggling with Savings

Start saving now. The best advice for Millenials as they enter the workforce. A new survey finds Texas seniors aren’t doing well when it comes to replacing the money they made before they retired.

Mark Hamrick at Bankrate says Texas ranks at #26 in states where senior citizen’s income is falling short.

And according to him, the problem will be worse for millennials.

“We don’t know about the sustainability of social security. Companies are not doing much heavy lifting when we talk about companies as a whole providing retirement accounts or savings for their workers.”

Hamrick says the best advice, start saving as soon as you start your first job.
